The children explored portraits by a variety of artists from different eras. The children looked closely at the features of the face from different angles to produce a self-portrait and a portrait of another child in the class using a variety of media. The children experimented with colour mixing, tone and different mark making. The year 1 children also produced a self-portrait in the style of Eric Carle.
