Hammering Names in Pumpkins
In the autumn term the children hammered their names into a pumpkin. The children were fully engaged with this activity and took great pride in their finished work. This activity allowed the children to be introduced to the sense of risk, to handle real tools and develop their fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination. It was fulfilling to see the children work at length and have a commitment to fulfil the task to the best of their abilities.
